Rune raised her hammer sharply over her head, straining at the top of her wild swing, body burning with unrealized vigor. With a hoarse defiant cry, she smashed the hammer down on the noble sculpture of their fore-bearers in an explosion of stone shards. Stone dust settled on the frozen expression of insufferable smugness.
